On weekdays your tutor comes straight from a day of classes and crosses the city to reach you. That is why the first evening lesson starts at 5:30 p.m. in the Plateau, at 6 p.m. in Ahuntsic or Montréal-Nord, and a little later at the far ends of the island. On weekends the question disappears: we travel from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the same everywhere.

The times shown on each neighbourhood page are the real ones, worked out from travel time rather than from a promise. If a slot shows as free when you book, it is free.

At home, in your residence, or at the café down the street

Most lessons happen at the kitchen table, on your own devices, because that is where the real trouble shows up: the Wi-Fi that drops in the back bedroom, the printer that sulks, the tablet nobody knows the password to.

In a seniors’ residence we come to your apartment or to a common room, with the residence’s agreement. And if you would rather get out of the house, a quiet neighbourhood café works just as well.

Travel is included, anywhere on the island

No travel fee, wherever you live on the island of Montreal: the price in Lachine is the price downtown. The first lesson is free, and the ones after are $50, $70 or $90 depending on length, before tax and with no subscription.

We also don’t ask for your address to show you the available times: your postal code is enough, or simply the name of your neighbourhood. The exact address is taken over the phone, when we confirm the lesson with you.

How far ahead should I book?

Allow at least 48 hours: that is what it takes to plan the week’s route. You can book up to 45 days ahead, and move a lesson if your week changes.

My neighbourhood isn’t on the list. Do you still come?

Almost always. The neighbourhoods above are the ones we visit most often, not a border. Enter your postal code in the form: if there are times free at your place, they appear right away.

Does it cost more if I live far from downtown?

No, travel is included everywhere on the island. What changes from one neighbourhood to the next is the start time of the first evening lesson, never the price.
